~The young girl never knew what a smile meant, though she always plastered them onto her face anyways. Her soft yet dirty locks of hair fell in fawning shadow about her face as blinded eyes stared off absently as she hurried her best to do her work and then some, simply hoping to be garnered a meal that night.~
~She could hear the rushing and clattering screams, the demands of her name being shouted about her as she dashed about eager to please, to serve.. to simply work knowing at times as if her very survival and existance depended on the present moment.~
She wore a bracelet of black that was double locked upon her left wrist.. no one ever told her what it was for and she had long since stopped asking knowing it was.. dangerous perhaps.. to continue the inquiries of such things. She was kind of attached to living and breathing.. in fact, she kind of liked those things.~
~Barefooted she runs almost tripping over a chair that someone kicked out, the echos of cruel laughter befall her ears as ale spills all over her.. staining her already dirty garments as she never even complained.. soft apoligies offered as she hurried to find something to clean up with.. for when one has no family or friends; you learn to take the lot in life you are dished out and offered~
